Media Advisory - Minister Brad Duguid's June 25th Sarnia Visit

The tour will begin at 1:00 p.m. outside of the Creations Fine Dining Restaurant.
A scrum will follow in room P111 at 2:15 p.m.


The Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) and Lambton College invite the media to accompany Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development and Innovation Brad Duguid on a tour of the college’s Centre of Excellence for Process Manufacturing on Monday, June 25th at 1:00 p.m. Minister Duguid will learn about the college’s innovative manufacturing-focused programs, and its successful partnership with the Sarnia-Lambton chemistry industry.

During his Sarnia-Lambton visit, Minister Duguid will meet with representatives from five CIAC member-companies – BioAmber, Imperial Oil, LANXESS, Newalta, and NOVA Chemicals – and will hear about the chemistry sector’s potential to attract up to $2.5 billion in investment to the Sarnia-Lambton region over the next decade.

The Chemistry Industry Association of Canada is the voice of Canada’s chemistry sector. Ontario’s $20-billion chemistry industry employs 42,000 Ontarians directly, and supports 250,000 total jobs in the province’s economy.
