Contract terms:
We understand your teaching contract with Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University will include the following basic terms:
- Classes: Monday – Friday
- Maximum of 18 hours of in-class teaching time 5 days per week. The teacher may be required to join in other non-class activities like English Corner for up to 2 additional hours per week
- Teach year one, two or three college students
- One year contract
- Free of charge, a fully furnished single (not shared with another teacher) apartment with furniture, bedding, bathroom, washing machine, TV, DVD set, computer, microwave oven, refrigerator, air conditioner, shower utensils and Chinese kitchen utensils. Please see the contract for other terms regarding gas, electricity, water, telephone, and internet
- International and domestic return airfare (economy class)
- Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University will arrange for appropriate invitation letters and limited medical coverage (maximum 2000 RMB/semester)
- Additional health coverage and immunizations are the teacher’s responsibility and should be arranged prior to travel
- Contract renewal is based upon mutual agreement
Salary Information:
- Salary is paid in RMB
- Salaries are based on a monthly rate
- EFL and Academic English teachers earn 5000 RMB per month after tax
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree is a minimum requirement
- Master Degree may be required in some subject areas
- MBA is required for a Business, Finance or Accounting position
- Preference is given to those with recent teaching experience
- Teaching certification or TESL/TEFL teacher certification is an asset
Please note: The assignment is dependent upon the approval and obtainment of the invitation letter and working permit from the Chinese Government. If Jiangxi Science & Technology Normal University is unable to obtain the invitation letter and working permit, Jiangxi Science & Technology Normal University will not be able to implement the teaching contract. Jiangxi Science & Technology Normal University is the employer and contract terms are subject to change by the employer.
