PROGRAM INFORMATION

Combine a business education with work experience and expand your employment opportunities. The Industrial Management program was designed to enable students with a solid employment background to gain foundational business knowledge and skills. Students will study 11 prescribed business courses and 9 optional courses.

Mobile Learning Program  This program is a Mobile Learning pilot program.

 Students entering this program in September 2013, are entering a Mobile Learning program. To be able to participate in the mobile learning experience, it is essential that all entering students have a mobile device.

This program requires that entering students have a laptop with wireless capability. Software and courseware required for coursework will be available virtually from the college through the internet.

Some students may prefer the convenience of having the required software loaded onto their laptop. A laptop with appropriate computing power will be required. The software may be available for purchase – in some cases at an educational discount - from the Lambton College Campus Shop.

Students will be able to access and use some learning materials using a smartphone or tablet, which may enhance the learning experience.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

O.S.S.D. or equivalent
Grade 12 English C or U

Mature applicants must be at least 19 years of age by the start of classes, be out of secondary school for at least one year and usually do not have a high school diploma. Mature applicant testing for this program is available in the Counselling Department in the subject of English. The test(s) will demonstrate proficiency in required admission subjects. For more information please contact the Counselling Department at ext. 3412. Academic admission requirements can be obtained through Academic Upgrading and Pre-Programs at Lambton College.

PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS

 Students must complete 60 credit hours - 33 credit hours from required courses and 27 credit hours from optional courses.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The Industrial Management program is intended to provide those people working in or aspiring to a supervisory or first-line management position, and who are without formal training or a college diploma, with basic industrial management theory and skills.
