Be part of a workforce skilled in tree care and safe practices by enrolling in Lambton College's Arborist Apprenticeship Training program. Two 12-week, in-school programs, beginning in January, designed for apprentices already working in the arborist/tree care industry.
Courses are set out in 12-week starts from January to the end of March.
Those wishing to register as apprentices must be at least 16 years of age and have a Grade 12 education or equivalent. All applications are made through the nearest office of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Trade Code 444A.
To register for these programs contact the apprenticeship office directly as these programs are not part of the ontariocolleges.ca registration process nor are they eligible for OSAP.
GRADUATION & PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS
In order to graduate from a program, the College requires that a student:
- achieve a GPA of 2.00 or greater, and
- successfully complete all courses in the program curriculum.
Some programs may have additional requirements for progression through and/or graduation from the program. Please refer to the program map for any additional program requirements.
Apprentices and graduates are qualified to work in the utility, municipal or commercial tree care sectors. Entry-level positions usually require strong climbing skills. Students may also find work in: tree services, golf courses, public utilities or self-employment.
