This one-year certificate program was introduced to prepare students who may lack some prerequisites or who plan to gain essential study skills for the successful completion of technology-related college programs.
The course load is slightly lower than in most technology programs and focuses on fundamentals of math, science, and communications. Graduates of this program have the opportunity to reduce the course load in the first term of other Technology Programs.
All courses in physics and chemistry include laboratory components utilizing Lambton’s multi-faceted lab facilities
Please note: Completion of the Pre-Technology certificate does not guarantee entrance into any program at Lambton College; applicants in highly competitive programs are ranked. Applicants who have successfully completed a pre-program at Lambton will receive 10 bonus marks in their ranking.
Where there is intent to prepare for entry into a technology-related program at other colleges, please seek advice from those colleges regarding acceptance of credits from Lambton College.
