PROGRAM INFORMATION

This program provides an excellent preparation for health-related programs and graduates are given extra consideration for selection into any highly competitive, health-related program at Lambton College.

The program addresses students who lack some prerequisites and those who plan to improve study skills essential to succeed in health-related college programs.

The course load is slightly lower than in most health programs with a focus on fundamentals of science, math and communications. All courses in biology and chemistry include laboratory components utilizing Lambton’s multi-faceted lab facilities.

Please note: The Pre-Health Sciences certificate does not satisfy the admission requirements to the collaborative BScN program and also does not guarantee entrance into any program at Lambton College as we rank our applicants in highly competitive programs. Applicants who have successfully completed a pre-program at Lambton College will receive 10 bonus marks in their ranking.

Where there is intent to prepare for entry into a health-related program at other colleges, please seek advice from those colleges regarding acceptance of credits from Lambton College.
