A world of possibilities for life-long learning awaits you in Lambton College's Fall 2003 Continuing Education and Computer Training Centre brochure.

Choose from hundreds of courses and workshops designed to prepare you for new opportunities that are listed in the brochure arriving at your home on August 22 in the Lambton Leisure or August 23 in The Observer.

There is a growing list of on-line learning courses that provide the flexibility of learning anywhere or anytime. All you need is a computer and an Internet connection. Or step into the classroom for an expanded number of credit courses to accommodate people looking for part-time studies, and a comprehensive selection of one-day workshops for those who want to pursue a hobby or interest.

Explore yoga, mediation and negotiation, sign language or management development. Enroll in the new Certificate in Community Advocacy program, which examines legislation for specific social programs. Learn the Three Ps of Gardening in a new six-week evening program. Take part in one-day workshops to create miniature twig furniture or a full-size twig Christmas tree.

Choose from courses and workshops to suit every taste in the Continuing Education line-up. Whether you own your own business or have a job that relies on computers, Lambton College’s Computer Training Centre has a tremendous range of specialized computer courses to help you become more effective on your home computer or in the workplace.

The E-Business Professional Series, starting September 23, will help launch your business over the Internet. Enroll in the entire series, or select portions to suit your needs. A new Wireless Technology Workshop unravels the mysteries of setting up your business in a wireless environment. A two-week full-time PC Repair Technician Certificate program, from November 10 to November 21, enhances skills or provides new skills for changing careers.

Vendor certification in Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), Cisco Boot Camp for networking routing, Project Management Series, and various conversions programs helps you keep pace with changing technology in the workplace.

The popular satellite conference day returns November 5, with Living Leadership. Registration for continuing education gets under way August 25 and is available on-line at www.lambton.on.ca/coned or at the college. Most classes begin the week of September 8.
