Who We Are
Today, post-secondary education students can be an expensive
proposition. However, Lambton College believes that cost should not be a prohibitive
factor in the pursuit of higher education. Fortunately, through a number of
various avenues, help is available for those individuals who have a desire
to enhance their education and possess the ability to study.
Lambton College’s Financial Aid Office is there to assist students in
every way possible. The Financial Aid Office processes and approves all monetary
awards, bursaries, scholarships, and loans.
Why You Need Us
Students in post-secondary programs, upgrading,
and certificate programs may be eligible to receive some sort of government
assistance. These plans include:

What We Offer
The plan that usually comes to mind when students
are looking for assistance in a full time program is the Ontario Student Assistance
Program (OSAP) – federal
and provincial loans. Through a calculated formula, OSAP provides assistance
according to the student’s financial need.
Monetary funds from OSAP supplement, but do not replace, the student’s
and/or family’s responsibility to meet the cost of postsecondary education.
Although assistance is not based on academic achievement, the student is expected
nevertheless, to satisfactorily progress in his/her studies.
Students are required to apply for assistance for the above programs. Completion
of an OSAP application is required for consideration for government access
grants. Applications are available online at osap.gov.on.ca.
OWSP - Ontario Work Study Program
Students may be eligible
for work study positions with the college. For more information on the Work
Study Program, please visit our website at www.lambton.on.ca/workstudy.
