PROGRAM INFORMATION

Lambton College and University of Windsor have partnered to offer a collaborative graduate program to successful graduates of a recognized three-year Bachelor Degree (see admission requirements for further details). Upon completion you will graduate with an Ontario College Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Lambton College, as well as a Bachelor of Education Degree from University of Windsor.

This program emphasizes active involvement and reflective practice, by providing students with practical work experience in primary/junior classroom settings alongside a certified teaching professional. Students also benefit from direct practice within Lambton College’s on-campus Ontario Early Years Centre and Early Childhood Education Centre. These facilities are used by ECE students to gain practical experience with children, while applying the theory learned in the classroom.

Highly qualified instructors teach the foundations of early learning philosophy, curriculum and teaching approaches, using a student-focused approach and interactive teaching methods.

Teacher candidate selection is based on:

  1. Academic standing: All applicants must have a minimum cumulative average of 70% (B-) or higher. Applications are encouraged from groups that are traditionally under-represented in the teaching profession.
