This course introduces students to the fundamental s and problem solving skills required for developi ng computer applications. On completion of this co urse, students will be able to analyze problems an d design and implement appropriate solutions. Emph asis is placed on basic programming logic that in cludes program control, arithmetic, decision-makin g, looping, control breaks, interactive processing , and random file access. Thought the ILE RPG IV p rogramming language is used in this course to deve lop and implement computer applications the knowle dge and basics of this course are transferable to any programming language.Lecture: 3 hrs/wk.
