ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The admission requirements for applicants to the BScN program will be those prevailing at the University of Windsor.
O.S.S.D. or equivalent with:
Six courses from the University U or M stream and an overall average of 72% minimum
Grade 12 English U
Grade 12 Biology U SBI4U*
Grade 12 Chemistry U SCH4U*
*minimum requirement is a science average of 70%
There are three types of applicants to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. Please see below for description and application requirements.
Direct Applicant: Includes those applicants applying directly from a Canadian high school.
Must have their high school transcript submitted to the Ontario College Application Centre (OCAS).
Indirect Applicants: Includes applicants not applying directly from a Canadian high School and applicants returning to high school or an adult training centre to upgrade high school marks.
- Must have their high school transcript submitted to the Ontario College Application Centre (OCAS).
- Must submit a formal resume detailing activities from leaving high school to current time directly to the Office of the Registrar – Lambton College.
- Must submit all official post secondary transcripts. We would prefer to receive an electronic version of the transcript and this can be done through the Ontario College Application Centre (OCAS). Applicants must be at "good standing" and meet minimum grade requirements.
- Must submit two (2) letters of reference directly to the Office of the Registrar – Lambton College. The letters of reference can be from any source the applicant deems important.
Pre Nursing Applicants from Lambton or St. Clair College
- Applicants from Pre-Health Sciences - BScN (Lambton College & St. Clair College Only) Graduates of the Pre-Health Sciences - BScN program will need an overall GPA of 2.7 and will need a minimum grade of 70% (B-) in Biology (over the two terms) and a minimum grade of 70% (B-) in Chemistry (over the two terms.) All courses are to be completed by the end of the Winter term.
- Transcript from Lambton and or St. Clair College
- 2 letters of reference - The letters of reference can be from any source the applicant deems important.
- Course equivalencies can be obtaining through the Pre-Nursing Programs at Lambton College and St. Clair College only.
PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS
Students must achieve a minimum of a C- in each nursing theory course and a pass (CR) in each clinical experience and laboratory component.
All courses must be successfully completed in the current term before progressing to the next term's nursing courses. For further details
