
Applying for First Nations Funding
You will be required to fill out a funding application. Contact your First Nation post-secondary counsellor or your Band office. Members from the following communities need to contact the Southern First Nations Secretariat: Caldwell First Nation, Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation, Aamjiwnaang First Nation, Oneida Nation of the Thames, Delaware Nation, Munsee-Delaware Nation. Applications are available in the Aboriginal Cultural/Learning Centre or you can find them online at the Southern First Nations Secretariat.
Please Note: Every other Wednesday during the academic school year, a representative from the Southern First Nations Secretariat is on-site to assist students with financial and educational questions.
Student Loan Program
You will be required to fill out an Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) application. Applications are available at the OSAP website. The online application is quick and easy to use and your information is secure. You will receive an on-the-spot estimate of the amount of funding you may receive. You are responsible for beginning to repay your loan, six months after you’ve completed your studies or have stopped attending a full-time post-secondary institution.
