This three-year, optional co-op, program provides a combination of the common business administration stream with specialty courses in computer and information systems. This curriculum provides the student with a well-developed foundation in business, and a solid core of computer and information systems. The graduate will be well prepared to enter a business career with a good understanding of how computers and information systems can contribute to a business, and the skills to undertake the implementation.
The graduate may also seek employment in the information systems field, knowing, that his/her business education will provide a strong background for systems development.


Admission Requirements

Applicants who started High School in Ontario prior to September 1999:

O.S.S.D., or equivalent, with:

  • Grade 12 English (General or Advanced),
  • Grade 12 Mathematics (General or Advanced),
  • at least one other senior level credit, Grade 11 or Grade 12 (General or Advanced) or the equivalent.

Applicants who started High School in Ontario in September 1999 or later:

O.S.S.D., or equivalent, with:

  • any Grade 12 English, (C), (U/C), (U), or (O).,
  • any Grade 12 Mathematics (C), (U/C), (U).
Applicants who do not have standing in Grade 12 Mathematics may still gain elegibility for admission by completing the pre-admission Mathematics testing.

Mature Student Qualifications

An applicant who is 19 years of age or older and who does not have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma is considered for admission as a “mature student”. The applicant will be required to attend an assessment session.

Course equivalencies can be obtained through Academic Upgrading and Pre-Programs at Lambton.


Employment Opportunities

Graduates of this program are prepared for a wide variety of management positions. Graduates may find entry-level positions in general management, accounting, production and inventory control, distribution, information systems application and implementation and systems development. By applying what they have learned in business and information systems, the graduates have an excellent opportunity for advancement into higher-level management.
